The function of this role is to engage with the customer as the technical expert in solution design, product proof of concept demonstration, requirement gathering, and all other technical elements of the Presales and Solution Construction process.
Main Duties amp; Responsibilities:
- Leverages training, education, and previous experience to gather customer requirements, respectfully challenge customer assumptions, and translate into a supportable solution.
- Determine the technical requirements to meet client goals and act as liaison between the organization’s sales/business development and architect amp; engineering groups.
- Respond to requests for information (RFI) or requests for proposals (RFP) from customers, supplying the technical details of proposed solutions.
- Ability to translate technical functionalities to business values.
- Participates in customer calls and face to face meetings.
- Comfortable communicating with C-level executives.
- Understanding of our products, services, and our customers’ digital transformation journeys will be crucial to success.
- Assist sales in technical components of tender and bidding process - Act as the technical authority for assessment and approval of specifications for solution construction or change
- Coordinate the transition between pre-sales specifications and implementation engineering once contracts have been awarded.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or any related field
- 3-5 years working experience as an IT System engineering and a minimum of 1+ year solutions engineering
- Industry certifications desirable: Linux+, RHCSA, RHCE, MCSE, MCSA, MCITP, CCNA, OpenStack , AWS Cloud Certifications, Azure Cloud Certifications and Google Cloud Certifications.
- Experience both in the public and private sector
- Must be willing to travel
