Search-Jordan program portfolio seeks to foster cohesion and resilience by empowering a wide set of stakeholders, including national and local government, civil society, local communities, and the media, to come together across their differences to find common solutions, with a particular emphasis on the inclusion of marginalized voices such as women and youth.For more information, visit www.sfcg.orgPosition SummarySearch Jordan is looking to hire a Design Monitoring and Evaluation Officer to support and lead on DMamp;E all strategic and functional responsibilities of Design, Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning activities of this project in close coordination with Project Managers, Project Officers, and the MENA regional DMamp;E Specialist. S/he will work under the direct supervision of the Country Manager of Jordan Country Office. The position is located in Amman, Jordan, with frequent field visits and reports to the Project Manager and Country Manager. The DME officer will be primarily responsible for assisting with the research, monitoring and evaluation, and organizational learning efforts of this project.Key Responsibilities and Deliverables

• Responsibilities include:
• Contribute in the development of a system that facilitate data collection, reporting and flow of data within the project team that sufficiently captures project information needs
• Support the development and implementation of Mamp;E plans and tools, as well as learning activities (e.g., reflection sessions) throughout the project implementation in coordination with MENA DME Specialist to inform learning and best practices.
• Manage data management systems, spreadsheets and other data tools and ensure the quality of high-value data for accuracy, consistency and comparability and consolidate operational information as needed to support analysis.
• Provide timely, quality support and guidance to the project team to meet the project’s specific Mamp;E needs
• Conduct participatory monitoring activities and data collection and field visits as required through individual interviews, phone interviews, pre/post testing, focus group discussions, and community visits.
• Support reporting and analysis of data collected on outcome indicators and feed into donors’ reports in addition to learning reporting that synthesizes good practices and lessons learned.
• Implementing Search Mamp;E standards around project planning, research, data collection tools, monitoring missions and evaluations in Jordan;
• Review and ensure common understanding of the project logic framework, indicators, targets, data collection tools, Mamp;E plan and strategies to evaluate peacebuilding in Jordan;
• Provide ongoing technical support in proposal development when needed by enabling program teams to utilize evaluation findings and evidence gleaned from learning and communicating results effectively;
• Provide advice on assessments (e.g., baselines) design and support quality control on DME deliverables.
• Strengthen DMamp;E capacities of Search program staff and partners by designing and implementing capacity building activities;
• Support with the development and implementation of a context relevant feedback and accountability mechanism that can be used across the country portfolio.
• Support in conducting internal evaluations when appropriate based on Search Evaluation Guidelines and Policies;
• Perform field visits as needed to for quality checks of the data collected by the project and to verify the accuracy of the reported data.
• Provide regular verbal and written feedback on field observations and monitoring findings to Project Manager and MENA DME Specialist and relevant programme staff
