We are looking for a talented and self-directed engineer to expand our team in Jordan. The selected candidate will be part of a small but growing and dynamic team, which focuses on applying Computer vision for the delivery of academic content. You will be exposed to a wide array of cutting edge technologies, and you will be involved in the development of products and services used by thousands of users around the world. Requirements
Must to have
- Hands-on experience working in computer vision and machine learning using models and methods such as CNN, LSTM, GAN, etc.
- Experience with Computer vision such as Pattern Recognition, Image Segmentation, Classification, Object Detection, Optical Character Recognition (OCR), Image Generation, and
- Proficiency in using Deep Learning platforms such as TensorFlow, PyTorch
- Experience developing a solution using one of computer vision frameworks such as Facebook Detectron2, YOLO, OpenCV, or Darknet.
- Experience designing and delivering APIs and backend services meeting the highest software quality standards.
- Extensive knowledge of computer science fundamentals, incl. Data structures and software design patterns (GoF and cloud-native).
- 4+ years of proven experience in computer vision software development and operation practices covering the full software development lifecycle.
- Deep understanding of Java and Python as your primary backend programming language.
- Experience with multiple databases (RDMBS, NoSQL, Redis, ) and messaging services (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS ), ideally run in a cloud (e.g. Google Cloud).
- Understanding of the importance of a well-organized codebase and documentation.
- The capability of implementing unit, integration, end-to-end, and load tests.
- Bachelor’s/Master’s/PhD’s degree in Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering, or equivalency in relevant work experience.
- Highly self-organized and interested in taking over ownership and bringing the team to the best solution.
- Fluency in English written and oral.
Nice to have
- Experience with team leadership.
- Familiarity with microservices architecture, IoC and DI frameworks (Java Spring / Spring boot, python Flask, etc.).
- Familiarity with Docker and K8s.
- Familiarity with building tools such as Gradle, SBT, Yarn, etc.
- Deep understanding of one or more out of JavaScript, NodeJS, LESS, Pug render as your primary/secondary frontend programming language.
- Deep understanding of C/C++ as your secondary backend programming language.
