About the job

Foodics is on the lookout for a Head of Engineering to lead Foodics’ Apps team (iOS + Android). You will be working with multiple cross-functional teams. You will grow, mentor, and coach engineering leads in Apps development teams. You will be contributing and shaping the future of Foodics Apps architecture

Main Task amp; Responsibilities

• Build up, lead, manage, inspire, and grow multiple Apps teams.
• Engage with product managers and other leaders across the company to deliver an outstanding product to satisfy the needs of our users.
• Ensure that development of the complex mobile app is simplified and scales.
• Follow the latest developments in mobile app and web engineering and convert these learnings into a future-proof technology strategy

Requirements

• Strong technical leadership experience, developing, coaching, and mentoring Apps Engineering teams.
• Not less than 5 years of mobile coding experience, have a thorough understanding of the mobile development cycle and its limitations.
• Good understanding of large-scale applications on a PaaS/SaaS cloud, as well as the developer tooling landscape (including Git, CI/CD, testing).
• Understanding of software delivery KPIs (release velocity, lead time, .) and how to influence them to create a high performing technology organization.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to share technical ideas and direction across the organization and a proven ability to influence decision making at all levels and in a variety of contexts.
