Network Access L2 Maintenance Sr. Engineer

Responsible for scheduling and performing all corrective and preventive maintenance activities for L2 maintenance team implemented in towers across Umniah’s sites. Also, responsible for supporting and guiding the team through various maintenance activities, to ensure that network KPIs are met, while adhering to health and safety measures.

• Ensure that all team members are always adhering to health and safety measures to prevent any potential hazards or injuries

• Deploy the corrective maintenance action plan for power, MW and RAN systems across Umniah’s sites, to ensure the network quality standard are delivered in alignment with the agreed SLAs and OLAs
• Tackling L1 escalated cases, analyzing and deploying the corrective solution to assure the network Availability
• Report on any risks and threats regarding L2 responsible area in order to prepare a plan to overcome and mitigate potential failures
• Auditing and follow up on L1 maintenance activities to ensure that it is carried out effectively and update L2 team leader accordingly
• Performer all regular tests and scheduled tests related to BSC, RNC and Big Nodes
• Provide technical and statistical reports related to power system, MW and RAN performance and overall maintenance activities and communicate updates with the management
• Coordinate with external stakeholders (vendor/contractors) to perform corrective and preventive maintenance activities
• Performing holistic analysis for the network faults, identify the root cause and provide solutions and communicate it to the management
• Participate in handling the spare parts management (SPM) to assure the spare parts availability to overcome network failures
• Maintain and enhance the network documentation
• Perform the periodic test for RNC, BSC, and Big Nodes
• Following up the OPS process and procedures
• Ensure adhering to health and safety measures while conducting maintenance activities in order to prevent any potential hazards or injuries

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or any other related field.

Intermediate Experience in a related field.

Essential:

• A working knowledge of telecom system installation, commissioning and troubleshooting.
• A working knowledge of 2G /3G/4G Huawei amp; ZTE, operating, commissioning and troubleshooting.
• A working knowledge of MW operating, commissioning and troubleshooting.
• A working knowledge of power system (AC amp; DC) installation, commissioning and troubleshooting.

Desirable:

• A working knowledge of fiber optics.
• A working knowledge of IP.

• Good command of operation and usage of battery tester.
• Good command of MW configuration software.
