As a DevOps Engineer at Tamatem, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining new/existing practices, and tools that increase the team's ability to deliver applications and services. You will be handling deployments, maintaining our services working in a cloud environment and suggesting improvements.
Responsibilities
- Handle deployment and maintain services in a cloud environment.
- Handle configuration of services and databases.
- Work on ways to automate and improve development and release processes.
- Work closely with software engineers and other DevOps Engineers to find and fix problems.
- Analyze software problems to invent practical and efficient solutions.
- Build and set up new development tools and infrastructure.
- Work with software engineers to ensure that development/release follows established processes and works as intended.
- Deal with source code management activities.
- Create technical documentation as necessary.
- Task planning, estimation, and scheduling.
- Staying up to date with the latest DevOps best practices.
- Work with cross-functional teams and comply with engineering team standards.
Requirements
Years Of Experience: 2-4 Years in a similar role.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related fields.
Required Skills:
- Experience with Amazon Web Services.
- Experience with Kubernetes.
- Experience with Docker.
- Experience with Linux, Bash and Shell scripting.
- Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and time management.
- Deep understanding of source code management ( ex: Github, Bitbucket, Gitlab ).
- Ability and willingness to learn using new software tools and adopt new practices.
- Strong and fast competence in planning and estimating tasks.
- Ability to work/support multiple projects at the same time.
- Proactive team player.
Other Skills (Plus):
- Certifications in Amazon Web Services.
- Experience with Prometheus.
- Experience with logging platforms ( ex: ELK stack ).
- Experience with Ansible and Terraform
- Experience with one of the programming languages like Python, or Ruby.
- Experience in the gaming industry.
