We are seeking a dynamic and experienced PR and Events Manager to join our marketing team. Reporting directly to the Director of Marketing, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing the company's media presence and managing impactful events across the MENA region.
Your Top ResponsibilitiesPublic Relations:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive PR strategy to enhance the company's visibility and brand image.
- Maintain and establish relationships with journalists, thought-leaders, media outlets and influencers in primary markets such as Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Jordan and the rest of MENA.
- Create and distribute press releases, company announcements, speeches and statements and other PR content in both Arabic and English in collaboration with the SEO amp; Content Manager.
- Stay up-to-date with industry awards and sign up for top awards to showcase the company's achievements and innovations.
- Maximize editorial coverage through good governance and quality assurance of PR agencies and in the best tech/business press in MENA to maintain a good company reputation.
- Plan and execute media events and press conferences with agencies.
- Find speaking opportunities in events, conferences, shows, podcasts and more.
- Manage PR and media for the company and Maqsam’s co-founders.
Events:
- Develop and execute a regional Events calendar including webinars, industry events, and conferences/seminars.
- Manage participation in third-party events, including decisions on prime location, booth building, design, and all other logistics.
- Coordinate and secure tickets needed for Events attending.
- Planningamp; and managing joint booth collaboration between Maqsam and partners.
- Organize events from A to Z in collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless event logistics and execution.
- Book both paid and earned thought leadership activities, including roundtable participation and panel discussions for Maqsam’s co-founders.
- Manage events’ budgeting, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial guidelines.
- Evaluate the success of events through post-event analysis and feedback.
What We Expect from You- A proven background in SaaS/Tech/IT B2B PR is essential with 5+ years of experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
- Established media relationships and contacts in MENA, focusing on Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, and Jordan.
- The ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Arabic and English; a passion for editorial and grammatical excellence.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills able to build and grow effective collaboration and connection with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to unravel technical product information into clear and concise copy.
- Can work with multiple stakeholders and manage project timelines.
