Job Description
Job Brief:
Responsible for monitoring any possible fraud opportunities due to technical weaknesses or defects. Also responsible for mitigating financial losses caused by fraudulent activities resulting from technical related weaknesses or breaches, in addition to re-engineering certain controls in order to reduce the risk of fraud and reduce potential losses as early as possible. Also, responsible for providing consultation to the internal stakeholders in regards to financial loss and fraud prevention.
Key Responsibilities:
- Detect revenue leakage and ensure data consistency of direct impact reporting of financial data.
- Monitor and block unauthorized routing of calls to avoid revenue loss.
- Provide support for any regulator inquiry and investigation in fields of revenue assurance and fraud management.
- Ensure smooth functioning of the revenue assurance system and integrating the revenue assurance system with the network elements.
- Perform regular reconciliation and analysis of revenue streams on a timely basis.
- Perform regular reconciliation for POS, CBS, HLR, and billing system on a monthly basis.
- Monitor bill payment/collection and detect fraud if any through multiple system checks and balances.
- Monitor credit and refund cycles on the system on a timely basis.
- Investigate, understand, and report process issues root causes related to revenue assurance and fraud management, and improve the existing process accordingly.
- Monitor and block unauthorized routing of calls to avoid revenue loss.
- Conduct periodic reconciliations on various network elements and business case evaluation.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the direct manager.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor Degree in Computer Information System (CIS), Telecommunication Engineering, or any other related field.
Level of Experience: Intermediate experience in the same field.
Certifications amp; Licensure:
- Revenue Assurance Related Certification such as TM Forums, CFCA, Revenue Assurance Practitioner
Tools amp; Systems:
- CBS POS Billing
- POS, CRM and GL Systems
- Revenue Assurance amp; Fraud Management Systems
Technical Skills amp; Knowledge:
Essential:
- Excellent knowledge of Telecommunication industry
- Excellent command of English language both speaking and writing
- Excellent command of computer skills (MS Office)
- Excellent command of technical reporting skills
- Good knowledge of accounting standards, and accounting regulations
- Good knowledge of finance assessment and strategy, financial analysis and evaluation
- Excellent knowledge of risk management, risk measurement, risk assessment techniques
- Good knowledge of external financing and financial markets
- Good knowledge of revenue assurance incidents (locally and globally)
- Good knowledge of conducting SQL queries
- Good knowledge of building revenue assurance scenarios
Desirable:
- Good Knowledge of applicable national laws
- Good knowledge of the appropriate channels to write-off bad debts
- Good knowledge of legal proceedings
- Good knowledge of Investor relationship management: investment market knowledge, persuasion and influence, relationship building, networking and rapport abilities
